Let Spicey Dance.

So, I was reading this morning where people are calling for a boycott of this season’s Dancing with the Stars because former White House Spokesman, Sean Spicer is one of the contestants.  REALLY?  Come on people don’t we have more important things to worry about than this?

I mean the real travesty here is that we have now gone through 28 seasons of a show and they actually call these people stars.  But that’s not the purpose of this post, I digress.

At some point we as Americans have got to stop getting butt-hurt over silliness like this.  The political left preaches inclusiveness, that is until someone who disagrees with them speaks out or gets recognized or God forbid dances on a silly TV show.

It’s all good and nice to tout how inclusive you are, but if you are going to talk the talk, at some point you have to walk the walk and understand not everyone sees things the same way you do….. and either accept it or get over it but stop the cry-baby crap and move on!

If we as Americans are going to really be inclusive, we have got to start accepting differing viewpoints, it doesn’t always have to be our way or no way.  That isn’t what our country was built on, but it certainly is what our country is being torn apart by.

And you folks on the right, don’t get all puffed chest because I called out the left on this one.  You are just as bad, you will boycott a brand, burn an album and turn your back on one of your own so fast it will make one’s head swim.  All it takes is a simple disagreement with what you believe at the moment and BAM, they are dead to you.  (Ironically, sometimes the folks you turn against really are dead.)

Do we not all see the lunacy of this?  We have become a nation of butt-hurt folks walking around just looking to be offended by the next person who speaks out, has a differing opinion or heaven forbid straps on a pair of dancing shoes.

It’s time we started acting like Americans again, not political parties.  Grow up, understand that we are at our best when we work together and LISTEN to each other.

There isn’t anything wrong with having a difference of opinion, what IS wrong is when we won’t even allow the other side to express it.  Who know’s maybe if we listened more and got offended less we might all find solutions to the issues in our world that really matter.

And that my friends is the end of my tantrum…. y’all go back to pouting now!

Short Notes – 10.9.13

When you thought the United States Government couldn’t be any more despicable…. there is this.

The United States House Gym is deemed as “essential” and stays open and Democratic Congressman Bruce Braley from Iowa is upset that the towel service isn’t being offered….. really Congressman!?!??!  Check it out here.  But before you jump on Congressman Braley for expecting towel service, just know these hardworking elected officials pay $260 ANNUALLY to join.  That’s over $20 a month people., the Congressman SHOULD be upset that his towel isn’t being laundered!

Question of the Day:  SERIOUS QUESTION…..  can you name one lawmaker at the Federal level, US Congress or President of the United States that you consider a patriot?  If so, please tell me who they are and why you feel this way.

So the United States Congress decided last night at midnight that they would abdicate their responsibilities.  They closed down the United States Government because they can’t act like big boys and girls and do the work Americans elected them to do.   While hardworking Government workers who make 30, 40, 50k a year get sent home to do the best they can, these worthless fat-cats continue to collect their salaries, ride around with drivers and drink in the finest Georgetown restaurants and bars smoking $50 cigars all on your dime.  Have you had enough yet America?  I say if you vote for ANY incumbent in the next election that you are supporting this type of BS…. want a change?  MAKE A CHANGE!

Am I the only one fed up…..  below are just a few of the comments I have seen on my Social Media feeds today….

“you are the United States of America, get yourselves together and do your job.”

“My take on the government shut down? Let em shut down… but that means they ALL need to leave OUR White House and turn the lights off behind them. They can go home now if they aren’t going to work for us anymore… no more paychecks.  Lets fill the White House with Hippies and Rednecks… they apparently can work together and all get along.”

“I too am on shutdown. Therefore, I refuse to watch or listen to the news today STUPID, STUPID, STUPID House of Reps

“The entire Government what ever party needs to each go to their respective corners take a time out and get the Country back up and running again. America this morning is the laughing-stock of the entire world. And we wonder why so many people hate us so much. Stop acting like a bunch of pissed off little boys in DC. Enough is Enough. Entire Government is to blame.”

How many more times are we going to allow these inept elected officials to hold our country captive and don’t get me wrong… I BLAME THEM ALL….. every single one of them!  It is time we stopped allowing these people to embarrass our country and FIRE THEM!

Heroes for Heroes

Skynrd is on the Playlist today, but maybe not the Skynrd song you would have thought.

Sad, Disappointing, Puzzling, Why?

Kato Kaelin once again extending his 15 minutes.

Anderson Cooper highlights the best of Michele Bachmann.  Comics are sad that she is not running for reelection.

Mission Accomplished

Remember when Wheel of Fortune gave away refrigerators?  SHOCKER!

Short Notes… Ted Cruz for President

Various sources are reporting that Senator Ted Cruz is weighing a possible Presidential bid in 2016.  One Such Story Here

The freshman Senator from Texas has proven to be quite the firebrand since being elected last November, taking the place of former Congressman Allen West as the most controversial member of Congress.

It has been interesting to watch Ted Cruz insult and alienate other Senator colleagues and his constituents of both parties.

The Senator from Texas hasn’t quite learned that diplomacy is vital part of big picture politics, stomping your feet to get your way doesn’t quite work once you get off the playground.

If the Republican Party were to nominate, or even take seriously, a Ted Cruz candidacy,  the rhetoric of reaching out to minorities and inclusion for all Americans would be proven a theory with no base in reality.

Note to the Republican Party, nominate Ted Cruz or give him a national platform and you will find yourself on the short end of a Presidential election once again.

The very thought of a Ted Cruz candidacy must have the Democratic National Committee dancing at their desks.  If Republicans want to ensure eight more years of Democratic rule, seriously consider Ted Cruz as a voice for the party and see what happens.

Independent voters will be watching and we will not support a party that nominates or supports the fringe.
