What’s Cooking…. Kraft Fresh Take

DinnerTonight I had another one of the Kraft Fresh Take dishes, Cheddar Jack and Bacon Recipe….. yes, you read that right.

Um, all I can say is WOW!  SO SO SO good!

Rex Reed is….

Last week, film critic Rex Reed wrote a review of the new release Identity Thief starring Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy.

From the outset let me say I have not seen the movie and probably won’t, so I can’t judge the validity of the “review.”

What I can judge is the pomposity of Mr. Reed’s attack on Melissa McCarthy’s body, not her body of work, but her BODY!

In the review, Reed referred to McCartney in the following ways:

“cacophonous, tractor-sized Melissa McCarthy

“Mr. Bateman and his female hippo”

“Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids) is a gimmick comedian who has devoted her short career to being obese and obnoxious with equal success”

Rex Reed certainly has a lot to say about Academy Award nominee and Emmy winner Melissa McCarthy.

To me she is a cutting edge comedienne who has relied on her talent to move ahead.

Mr. Reed feels comfortable expressing his opinion about Ms. McCarthy, with that said allow me to express my opinions of Mr. Reed….

You would think that Mr. Reed may be a bit more sensitive, but no, he used his bitter old queen column to attempt to tear down a talented actress who is lifting others up instead of tearing them down.

Mr. Reed, Melissa McCarthy is a role-model for others who are over-weight not to let her size hold her back.  Mr. Reed you are a vitriolic flamer who belittles others instead of providing value to life.

Mr. Reed, I am gay, I am also fat….  I will take the role model Melissa McCarthy promotes any day over yours.

Now go flame off somewhere else, the gay community, the entertainment community, writers and reporters deserve a more civilized conversation than you are able to provide.

Mr. Reed, it is time for you to mix a mai tai, put on your moo-moo, turn on some Barbara or Judy and just GO AWAY, your services are no longer needed here!
